Coupeville Washington Whidbey Island is gearing up for another vibrant and inspiring Pride Month, filled with events that celebrate love, inclusivity, and the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting for the festivities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Coupeville Pride Parade – June 14

Despite past challenges, the Coupeville Pride Parade continues strong, thanks to dedicated community members. The parade starts at 12:30 p.m. on the town green, bringing together locals and visitors for a joyful celebration.

Pride Events You Won’t Want to Miss

Pride Flag Raising Ceremony – June 1

Kick off Pride Month with a flag-raising ceremony at Langley City Hall at noon. Join South Whidbey Pride board members and Mayor Kennedy Horstman as they proudly raise the rainbow flag in a show of solidarity and celebration.

Liberace & Liza Tribute Show – June 13-14

Experience the magic of Liberace and Liza Minnelli in a dazzling tribute performance at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts. Expect humor, music, and unforgettable entertainment.

Drag Brunch at The Shrimp Shack – June 14

Start your morning with joy, music, and fabulous drag performances at Cozy’s in Clinton. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., with the show running from 9-11 a.m. Cover charge: $10 at the door.

South Whidbey Pride Parade & Festival – June 21

The biggest Pride event on the island kicks off at noon in Langley, with a theme of “Now More Than Ever.” Expect inspiring speakers, DJ performances, food trucks, affirming vendors, and giveaways. Well-behaved goats on leashes are even welcome to join the parade!

Path to Resilience Community Event – June 22

Join Jeff Natter, South Whidbey Pride president, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island for a discussion on LGBTQ+ resilience and history. This annual service is a time for reflection and empowerment.

Magic the Gathering Pride Event – June 27

For gaming enthusiasts, The Book Rack in Oak Harbor is hosting a Magic the Gathering Pride event from 6-9 p.m. Celebrate diverse experiences while enjoying a casual Commander game with a special twist.

LGBTQ+ Queer Night at Goldie’s & The Roost – June 30

Close out Pride Month with a community queer night in Coupeville. A welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to connect and celebrate.
