Why you ask?
My story started as the little sister of brothers and a sister that are queer. Somewhere during my childhood in the red state of Kansas I learned advocacy. I learned that we all need a hand to hold and we all need allies.
Today as a 50+ mom, aunt and little sister I know my work as an advocate is not done, far from done. We all need safe spaces, our children need safe schools, our queer families need safe communities.
I choose to live in Washington, a queer safe state. I also choose to help at queer events, put up a tent and hand out rainbows and love when and where it’s needed.
